This is my 11th year using "Singapore Math" techniques and my first year using the new ThinkMathematics program. Building number sense, communication, visualization, and collaboration are some of the key components of our math program.
Knowing basic math facts fluently is important! If your child has not reached 100% mastery on the Reflex program, practicing three days a week at a minimum is what children should be doing to see increased success and fact fluency! When children know basic facts, it frees up "brain space" for more complex math procedures such as subtraction with regrouping.

Math Websites for fact practice

This sight was recommended by Sarah Schaefer, our consultant for Singapore Math! The Greg Tang site 3 listings later was also on her recommended list.

I went searching for websites that your children could visit for targeted, specific practice of area, perimeter, and geometry. Although I had this site listed in my math games already, I am now putting it at the VERY TOP of my list. As we study geometric concepts and terms such as congruent versus similar, symmetry, solid geometric shapes, etc., these games provide excellent practice. I would love to see every student visit this site for continued practice of math concepts and vocabulary. This past week (week of Jan. 11th) we discussed parallel lines, intersecting lines, and line segments while discussing the parallelogram. There is a great extension game for this concept on the website. (The only one we had not discussed was the "ray.") There are also games for counting coins, which I noticed overall as an area this class needed to strengthen. Check it out!
http://mrnussbaum.com/second-grade-math/ There are lots of great games, including Graph Master, Cash Out, and Drag and Drop Math. Check out the Common Core Standards section for practice with area and a variety of other concepts.
www.gregtangmath.com All of his games are excellent: Go to "Teaching Games" or look at the bottom of his page for additional skills. What I like about his work is that it is differentiated to meet the needs of students, with different levels of challenge.
Recommended Games on Greg Tang Math: BreakAPart, Numskill (works with bigger numbers than the card game,) Funny Numbers, Missing?, Expresso, Kakooma, Place Value

https://www.ixl.com/ IXL allows the student to practice a fixed amount of problems per day for free. There is a monthly subscription free to practice beyond the allowable amount per day.
http://www.funbrain.com/brain/MathBrain/MathBrain.html Recommended by Mikey- Math Baseball, Cut it!, and Space Slingshot. There are many other games!

Apps
Math Bingo
Math Fact Master- this app is perfect for specific practice! If you are currently working on 9+ facts, for example, you can press 9 and the plus sign. All of those fact practice cards when you press GO! will be in that category. Currently the 7+ and 8+ facts seem to be the trickiest for some students. This app also includes multiplication and division.
Math Cards
Make 10 Plus- summer or September-making pairs of tens
Number Line- great for showing quantity of numbers and mathematical thinking when solving addition and subtraction
Number Racks- great tool for showing composing and decomposing numbers
Number Pieces (Pieces Basic)- uses base ten blocks to explore place value- flats of one hundred, groups of tens, and ones-great for having your child write numbers with the correct place value. Be sure to practice numbers like 507, where there are NO tens and the child must put the 0 in the tens place to show that there were no tens.
Counting Money (has a plus sign in the center of 4 coins on a chalkboard)
Count Money Free
Grade 2 (Grade 3) Splash Math- general math skills (pay for upgraded version for more variety)
